Maura’s Back on TV!

So excited that ABC announced Maura Tierney will be on a new series, “The Whole Truth,” this fall! All I know is the show is a legal drama starring MT and Rob Morrow of Northern Exposure and Numb3rs fame. They’ll play lawyers who are old friends (I think) but who square off against each other all the time. Sounds… not terribly thrilling so far, and I must admit that it’s a Bruckheimer vehicle, which doesn’t exactly bear the stamp of originality.

But it’s Maura Tierney! So glad she’s healthy and working where I can see her, after doing some theater in NY. Her, not me.

Community Paintball

That was so much funnier than I anticipated. I choose this show as the one that has worked the hardest to win my love this year. I really wasn’t sure about it, but they’ve come through with a snowball of awesome that keeps getting bigger and bigger.

And it doesn’t even matter that Brita and Jeff slept together because Abed is right – they aren’t Ross and Rachel. They don’t need to be. This is a totally different show, and that’s another reason to like it.

And… I’m back.

I’m going to revisit ye olde blog o’ mine. I’m super behind on most TV right now (except for RuPaul’s Drag Race, about which I’m devastated).

I’m thinking of expanding to include some things around ATX that I think you should watch live and in person, so I’ll start by saying that the Ladies Are Funny Festival (LAFF) is next weekend. Last year I went to several of the shows this freaking awesome comedy fest had to offer, and not a one was a dud. Check out this page for tix and info!
